So how do you flip the script and get them leaning in instead of running away? It’s all about the art of the pitch. Delivering value, creating intrigue and making your offer too good to ignore
The 3-step formula to a YES
1️⃣ The Hook – Grab their Attention
Your first 10 seconds can make or break it. Don’t sound like every other salesperson out there. Open with something bold or unexpected.
Pro Tip: Instead of saying “Hey do you have time?” try “Quick question what would a 30% boost in [specific result] mean for you this quarter?” Boom instant intrigue
2️⃣ The Story – Ditch the ‘Sales-y’ Vibe
People remember stories not sales pitches. Skip the list of features. Tell a quick relatable success story about someone who faced the same problem and crushed it. Make them picture themselves winning
Pro Tip: “One of our clients [Company Name] had the same issue. After working with us they cut costs by 20% and doubled efficiency. Want to hear how they did it?”
3️⃣ The Close – Make It Easy to Say YES
The biggest mistake? Leaving it open ended. Be direct, confident, and suggest a next step that feels easy not high pressure.
💡 Pro Tip: Instead of “Let me know if you’re interested” say “How about a quick 15 minute chat this week? Tuesday or Thursday what works best for you?”

Bonus Sales Tactics 🤑
Talk Less. Listen More – Sales isn’t about talking at people. It’s about having a conversation. Ask the right questions then shut up and listen. Let them tell you their struggles so you can show them how you’ll solve them
Example: Instead of saying “Our product increases revenue by 20%” ask “What’s your biggest challenge in hitting your revenue targets right now?” Let them share their pain so you can position your solution as the answer
Confidence is Contagious – If you believe in what you’re selling they’ll believe in it too. Own your value and show up like you already know they need what you have
Example: If you’re 100% confident that your service will save them time and money say it. Don’t hedge or apologize. A confident pitch invites trust and when they trust you they’ll trust your offer
Follow-Up Game Strong – 80% of deals close after the 5th follow up. Don’t just check in. Make each follow up count. Add value with every touchpoint whether it’s new insights, a helpful resource or a reminder of how you’ll solve their problem
Example: “Hey [Name], I wanted to share a quick case study of how we helped [similar company] boost their sales pipeline by 30% in just 3 months. Can we chat about how we can do the same for you?”
Time to Crush It!
Sales isn’t about chasing it’s about attracting. Nail your pitch, bring the energy and make your prospects excited to say YES. Go out there and close like a legend!
