The GTM Launchpad is where we open the hood on B2B revenue - fixing structure, sharpening outbound and building pipeline that actually holds up

You don’t have a pipeline problem. You have a conversation problem

I’ll be honest…

This week messed with me a little.

not because things are broken
but because they’re working exactly how they’re supposed to

I was on calls with founders, VPs, reps…
breaking down outbound, listening to transcripts, and looking at real activity.

Calls with Dustin
Working through things with Orion
Sessions with Siva
Back-and-forth with Manish

Different teams
Different motions

Same exact pattern

Everyone thinks they have a pipeline problem

but when you zoom in…

It’s a conversation problem

What I saw this week

On the surface everything looked “fine”

  • emails going out

  • calls being made

  • LinkedIn messages sent

  • sequences running

but underneath it…

No real conversations were happening

Not enough replies
Not enough real connects
Not enough back-and-forth

just… activity

Where most teams get this wrong

They think in channels

  • “email isn’t working”

  • “cold calling is back”

  • “LinkedIn is saturated”

So they react

  • send more emails

  • buy a dialer

  • add more tools

  • increase volume

but I saw the same thing across all three this week

  • emails → ignored

  • calls → low connect rates, rushed convos

  • LinkedIn → messages sent, no engagement

Different channel…

👉 same outcome

No conversation

On one call this week the team had already made the shift

“Email isn’t working, we’re going all in on calling”

Great! But when we looked closer

  • low connect rates

  • weak data

  • conversations going nowhere once they did connect

Same problem
Different channel

How I actually diagnose this

If I’m coming in fresh…

I don’t care what channel you’re using first

I look at one thing

Where are conversations actually starting?

Then I break it down

  • last 2 weeks

  • how many replies?

  • how many connects?

  • how many real conversations?

Not

  • sends

  • dials

  • touches

actual conversations

Because that’s the only thing that turns into pipeline

If it were me fixing this Monday morning

I’m not blowing up the system
I’m tightening it

Narrow the focus

Your reps don’t need 1,000 accounts

They need

the right 50–100

Enough to actually

  • be relevant

  • be specific

  • know who they’re reaching out to

Align messaging across channels

Email says one thing
Calls say another
LinkedIn is generic

That’s a problem

👉 same problem, same POV, everywhere

Just delivered differently

Slow down (slightly)

Not less activity…

more intentional activity

Because the goal isn’t

  • more dials

  • more sends

It’s more conversations per rep

Each rep doesn’t need 1,000 meetings

They need 10–20 real ones

Coach for conversations

Especially on calls

Reps are

  • rushing

  • pitching too early

  • trying to “book” instead of understand

→ train them to stay in the conversation

That’s where the opportunity is

If I really wanted to fix this fast…

I’d do something most teams won’t have the guts to do

I’d shut AI off for 30 days

No prompts
No generators
No “optimize my sequence” tools

Just reps
Doing the work

because right now too many teams are

  • hiding behind AI

  • sending volume instead of thinking

  • relying on tools instead of skill

and it shows…

You see it in

  • generic emails

  • robotic LinkedIn messages

  • scripted calls

For 30 days, I’d simplify everything

Calls

  • 50–100 intentional dials

  • real targets, real research

Goal

👉 5–10 real connects
👉 1–2 actual conversations
👉 earn the meeting

Email

  • smaller batches

  • written by the rep

  • based on real observations

Not fluffrelevance

LinkedIn

  • fewer messages

  • more context

  • actual engagement

Not: connect → pitch

Instead: connect → context → conversation

Within 2 weeks…

you’ll know real quick what’s actually broken

  • is your data good?

  • does your messaging land?

  • can your reps actually sell?

Because there’s nowhere to hide

and this is the part most leaders avoid…

You have to sit in it with them

Listen to calls
Read messages
Coach in real time

Not dashboards actual work

It clicks…

When a rep

  • reaches the right person

  • at the right time

  • with the right message

…and actually stays in the conversation

It works!

That’s how you get

  • 1 meeting from calls

  • 1 from email follow-ups

  • 1 from LinkedIn

and suddenly…

10–20 meetings per month per rep isn’t crazy anymore

This issue is brought to you by FullEnrich

Quick reality from this week

Most teams don’t have an outbound problem…

they have a data problem

Wrong contacts
No mobile numbers
Outdated info

…and then wonder why

→ calls don’t connect
→ emails don’t land
→ LinkedIn goes cold

I’ve used Apollo, ZoomInfo, all of it

Lately I’ve been running FullEnrich

Pulled a list of 102 people

→ 104 phone numbers (102 Mobile)
→ 98 emails

~98% find rate

but more importantly… usable data

If I were dialing in outbound right now I’d start here

  • pull 50–100 target accounts

  • enrich with FullEnrich

  • focus on mobile and direct contacts

  • run calls + email + LinkedIn

Then compare

👉 are you actually reaching people?
👉 are conversations easier to start?

What I like

  • 20+ data sources (not relying on one provider)

  • strong mobile coverage

  • built-in email verification

  • unlimited seats (huge for teams)

  • solid pricing & 50 free leads to test

Your list is your strategy y’all
If the data is off… nothing else works

P.S. Have each rep run their own test. Compare it to your current data. You’ll know pretty quickly if this is a lever or not

Off the clock

We’re wrapping up my girls’ first cheer season right now

Regionals coming up

It’s been a fun run these last 9 months

but if you know cheer…there is no offseason

We’ve still got:

  • tumbling

  • stunting

  • private lessons

  • tryouts in July

  • right back into it in August

Same thing here

You don’t get to pause pipeline

You’re either building conversations now…

or feeling the gap later

The question

Across email, calls, and LinkedIn…

Where are your conversations actually coming from right now?

Not activity
Not effort
Not “we’re trying everything”

Actual conversations

and be honest

if you turned AI off tomorrow…

would your team still be able to start them?

Hit reply and tell me

I read every one

🤙

Thanks for reading. See you again next week at 8 am MST!

How The SD Lab Helps

If your outbound motion feels busy…

…but fragile

If your CRM looks full…

…but forecasting still feels shaky

If your team works hard…

…but pipeline doesn’t feel predictable

That’s what I fix

I work with founders and sales leaders in B2B (Series A–B, 5–20+ reps) who need structure before scale

Not more activity
Not more tools
Structure

Here’s how we do it:

Revenue Rebuild (45 Days)

This is the core engagement.

A hands-on rebuild of your outbound foundation so pipeline becomes structured, measurable and owned by the team not held together by heroics.

Inside 45 days we:

  • Lock in ICP and segmentation

  • Define deal stages with real exit criteria

  • Install signal-driven targeting

  • Simplify outbound into one focused lane at a time

  • Build systems your team can actually run

Best for:

  • Stalled or inconsistent pipeline

  • Founder-led outbound that needs structure

  • Forecasts built on vibes instead of milestones

Focused Workshops

When you don’t need a full rebuild just a sharp correction

  • Cold call intensives

  • Messaging and email teardown sessions

  • SDR workflow audits

  • Founder-led outbound calibration

Designed for fast clarity and immediate execution lift

Outbound Underground

Our private Slack community for reps and leaders building outbound in the real world.

  • Weekly office hours

  • Templates and teardowns

  • Honest feedback from operators

  • No gurus
