The GTM Launchpad is where we open the hood on B2B revenue - fixing structure, sharpening outbound and building pipeline that actually holds up
FROM THE GARAGE
This week I stopped asking myself a question I'd been carrying around for a long time.
"Can this business actually work?"
I didn't consciously decide to stop asking it.
I just realized it wasn't the question on my mind anymore.
Instead I caught myself thinking about onboarding a new client, refining the website, documenting case studies, expanding an existing engagement and planning what the next version of Revenue Rebuild should look like.
That felt...different
Because for the past few years I've spent a lot of time trying to prove things.
Prove I could build a business
Prove I knew what I was doing
Prove the model would work
This week I realized I wasn't trying to prove it anymore.
I was trying to protect it.
That may sound like a small shift but I don't think it is.
The more I thought about it the more I realized I see the same transition inside revenue teams all the time.
At first they're trying to figure out if a process works.
Then one day the conversation changes.
Instead of asking "Should we keep doing this?"
They start asking "How do we make sure this never breaks?"
That's a completely different organization.
Let's get into it.
PIPELINE LEAK
Most teams stay in proving mode longer than they need to
This week I spent time with a client talking through what the next sixty days might look like.
A few months ago those conversations would've centered around messaging, cold calls or outbound sequences.
This week they sounded different.
We talked about
CRM architecture
Hiring
Onboarding
Pressure testing the sales process before new reps ever touched it
How to build a system someone else could inherit instead of one person having to carry forever.
At one point it hit me.
Nobody in the room was debating whether outbound worked anymore.
That question had already been answered.
The conversation had moved on.
Now the challenge was protecting what we'd built.
I think that's a transition a lot of leaders miss.
We spend months trying to validate an idea.
Then even after the evidence is there we keep acting like we're still waiting for permission to believe it.
We continue tweaking
Changing direction
Questioning ourselves
Not because the system is broken...but because we haven't updated our identity.
The business has moved forward
Our thinking hasn't caught up yet
WHAT CHANGED MY THINKING THIS WEEK
One afternoon I decided to count something I'd never actually counted before.
How many Revenue Rebuild engagements have I actually led?
I expected four
Maybe five
The number ended up being eight
When I added everything together it totaled more than $100,000 in Revenue Rebuild work.
That surprised me.
Not because of the revenue but because I'd been treating Revenue Rebuild like it was still an experiment.
The data was telling me something different.
The field had already answered the question.
I just hadn't accepted the answer yet
That was a good reminder.
Sometimes clarity doesn't come from another strategy session.
Sometimes it comes from counting what's already true.
UNDER THE HOOD
A few things from this week
• Continued expanding my role inside an existing client engagement from coaching into onboarding, hiring and systems planning.
• Built another Revenue Rebuild proposal that focused less on selling outbound and more on rebuilding an entire revenue operating system.
• Finished another round of planning around The SD Lab and continued refining the Revenue Rebuild positioning.
• Wrapped another season of Cheer Dads guest recordings and started planning what's next.
• Continued reading Proverbs and the Gospel of John each morning.
• Stayed present with Corinna, Adam and Izzy and kept showing up for the ordinary responsibilities at home.
Looking back...none of those things feel like breakthroughs
They feel like commitments
and I'm starting to think commitments compound faster than breakthroughs ever do
30 SECOND INSPECTION
Here's something I'd encourage you to look at this week.
What's something inside your organization you've already proven...but you're still treating like it's uncertain?
Maybe it's your ICP
Maybe it's your sales process
Maybe it's a manager
Maybe it's a rep who's quietly earned more trust than they've been given
Where are you still asking...
"Will this work?"..when the better question might be.…”How do we protect it?"
ONE MORE THING
One of the biggest lessons I've learned this year is that operators ask different questions than beginners.
Beginners ask
"Can I build this?"
Operators ask
"How do I keep this healthy?"
It's subtle but it changes everything.
One mindset is obsessed with breakthroughs.
The other is obsessed with stewardship.
Lately I've found a lot more peace in the second one.
Maybe that's what maturity looks like
Not proving you can build something...but protecting something worth building
THE QUESTION
Where in your business have you already earned more confidence than you're giving yourself credit for?
Reply and let me know
I read every one
Thanks for spending a few minutes with me this Monday
I'll be back next week with another field report from inside the trenches
Have a great week 🤙
Thanks for reading. See you again next week at 8 am MST!

How The SD Lab Helps
If your outbound motion feels busy…
…but fragile
If your CRM looks full…
…but forecasting still feels shaky
If your team works hard…
…but pipeline doesn’t feel predictable
That’s what I fix
I work with founders and sales leaders in B2B (Series A–B, 5–20+ reps) who need structure before scale
Not more activity
Not more tools
Structure
Here’s how we do it:
Revenue Rebuild (45 Days)
This is the core engagement.
A hands-on rebuild of your outbound foundation so pipeline becomes structured, measurable and owned by the team not held together by heroics.
Inside 45 days we:
Lock in ICP and segmentation
Define deal stages with real exit criteria
Install signal-driven targeting
Simplify outbound into one focused lane at a time
Build systems your team can actually run
Best for:
Stalled or inconsistent pipeline
Founder-led outbound that needs structure
Forecasts built on vibes instead of milestones
Focused Workshops
When you don’t need a full rebuild just a sharp correction
Cold call intensives
Messaging and email teardown sessions
SDR workflow audits
Founder-led outbound calibration
Designed for fast clarity and immediate execution lift
Outbound Underground
Our private Slack community for reps and leaders building outbound in the real world.
